If its a model it will have the old style grill and a 6 volt system with a pull start. Engine numbers were not the same as the serial numbers.
That engine number was probably used in December '59, on a serial number close to Casting date code 'E' did not come around a second time during production.
The 'V' code after the engine number indicates exhaust valve rotators were installed. Jim I have a list that says E was used in I agree his is not a Tractor serial numbers started at and the engine serial numbers started at for a I think.
